Why a dedicated Youth Space?

Why a dedicated Youth Space?

Environments matter. They communicate our values and our stories, creating experiences for those who enter them. We understand that environment matters when picking our favorite coffee shop, local restaurant, and even when developing our home. Many of us go to St. Louis Cardinals baseball games when we could simply watch them from the comfort of our own home. Why?  Because of the environment. Currently, our youth and teenagers do not have a dedicated space they “want” to come to each week that is designed specifically for them.

Our aim is to build a dedicated, single-purpose youth space large enough to hold our teenagers above the new dedicated lobby area. This new youth space will be theirs alone. Theirs to decorate. Theirs to live in. All theirs. This room is not intended to just be used on Sunday’s, but many times during the week.

Do we have need?

Yes! Our youth ministry currently fills to capacity their current space on Sunday mornings for their “Equip Class!” This new dedicated youth space will provide room for our youth ministry to grow and encourage other teenagers to engage their friends in discipleship and evangelism. Our youth ministry will also be able to move out of the large worship facility on Wednesday nights and into their own inviting environment on Wednesday nights designed just for them.

This new dedicated youth space will give our youth ministry an additional 2500 square feet of space to grow in relationship with God and each other!
