Visiting a church for the first time can be nerve-racking. But having an idea of what to expect can help. There are three main parts to every Sunday gathering at 9:00 or 10:45: preaching, worship, and kids.

And while this might mean you’ll learn some things on how to be a better person, that’s not really the point. Because without Jesus, nothing matters. It’s because of Jesus that we can be a better person. Only Jesus can make life better. And true fulfillment is only found in Jesus. This means we teach from the Bible, because the Bible is all about Jesus. Often we’ll go through whole books of the Bible, verse by verse, to show you what the whole Bible teaches and how it relates to Jesus.

The sermons are fairly long. Typically 40-45 minutes each. Yet, people keep coming. Why do we do this? Because the Bible tells us that faith comes by hearing the word of God, the Bible. So we want to preach as much of it as we can. All our sermons are online, so you can check out all this by giving a listen yourself.

The Bridge music is quality, loud, and always about Jesus. God has blessed The Bridge with talented musicians who love Jesus and serve his church through new music and fresh takes on old hymns. But more than just entertainment, our music is part of the way in which we prepare our hearts and minds to hear the word and to respond to that word. Also, as part of our worship, we take communion together and give offerings to support God’s work. All in all, the atmosphere is casual, reflective, and open to all.

Bridge Kids is built around a simple concept: Jesus is the hero. Each Sunday, your child will learn the Bible and how it relates to Jesus in an age-appropriate way. We use The Gospel Project as our curriculum. The lessons are fun and approachable and taught by committed volunteers and staff who serve Jesus by serving you and your kids. We also seek to help equip parents to train their children in the gospel through resources like family guides for our lessons that are emailed out weekly. We also send home helps every Sunday with your child. Ultimately, the goal of Bridge Kids is to get kids excited about Jesus and to get families talking about Jesus together throughout the week.

When you walk in the door, you’ll see signage directing you to the Bridge Kids check-in area. Or you can ask one of the many volunteers serving that Sunday to direct you. At the check-in area, you’ll be greeted by a volunteer or staff member who will help you register your children. You’ll be handed a name tag or sticker with your child’s name, and they will have one attached to them as well. You must have this to pick up your child.

If you have a student who is in 6th - 12th grade they are invited to an equipping class during the 9:00 AM gathering. These classes are led by able servants who will love your students and help form them in Christ. The 6th - 8th grade class meets in the conference room above the kitchen. 9th - 12th grade meets on the third floor above Bridge Kids.

We GATHER on Sundays and SCATTER throughout the week into our Missional Communities.
Why? We don’t just simply “go” to church, but we are sent by the Spirit to be the church in our neighborhoods in word and deed! Missional Communities (MC's) are small groups that gather around a desire to reach a particular people group or place with the gospel of Jesus.
